This Privacy Policy explains how linkedinformatter.com (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website, tools and account.
1. Your text never leaves your browser
All formatting tools on this site run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The text you type or paste is not transmitted to, stored on, or processed by our servers. Drafts may be saved in your own browser's local storage so you don't lose work; you can clear this at any time via your browser settings.
2. Information we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage (pages visited, approximate location at city level, device type). Analytics data is collected via cookies and similar technologies.
Advertising. We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors' use of advertising cookies enables ad serving based on your visits to this and other sites.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide and use it only to send the requested content and occasional related tips. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.
Contact form. If you contact us, we receive the name, email and message you submit, used solely to respond to you.
Account. If you create an account we store your email address, the profile details you enter (name, role, company, time zone, content goals), your plan and usage counts, and the content you choose to save to your library, calendar or Brand Brain. Content you create with the AI tools is sent to the AI providers we use in order to generate it.
Payments. Paid plans and trials are processed by Stripe, who collect and hold your card details directly. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep only what we need to run your subscription: the Stripe customer and subscription reference, your plan, status and renewal date.
3. Cookies and consent
Cookies on this site are used by Google Analytics and Google AdSense as described above. Where required by law (including the EEA and UK), a consent banner is shown and non-essential cookies are set only after consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via the banner or browser settings.
Two cookies are strictly necessary and are set regardless of advertising consent, because the account cannot work without them: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a random device marker used to enforce one free trial per person. The device marker holds no personal data, and we store only a one-way hash of it.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We process data on the basis of consent (analytics and advertising cookies, newsletter), performance of a contract (running your account, trial and subscription), and legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, preventing trial abuse, site security).
5. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers we use to operate the service: Google Analytics and Google AdSense, Stripe for payments, our email and hosting providers, and the AI providers that generate content you request.
6. Data retention
Account data and saved content are kept while your account exists, and are deleted when you delete your account from account settings. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Analytics retention follows Google Analytics' configured limits.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
